As the Washington Post so beautifully stated:
This week, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists turned the Doomsday Clock, which shows how close we are to nuclear disaster, to 90 seconds. This represents “the closest to widespread calamity humanity has ever been judged to be.” So, by WaPo logic, we’re the safest and richest we’ve ever been. Great.
And how is the US government reacting to the news? “Man of the people” Joe Biden just announced he’s not sending one, but thirty one Abrams tanks to Ukraine, the clearest escalation of conflict with a nuclear power yet. Further ensuring safety and wealth for weapons dealers like himself.
But if you’re not a fan of the implication of war with Russia, you’re in luck. The German foreign war minister decided to stop playing cheeky games and came right out and said it: “We are fighting a war against Russia.”
Katie and Aaron throw down on all this nuclear war nonsense (when are they going to learn to stop worrying?), plus Mike Pompeo’s insane new book which hypocritically calls out terrorists (as if he wasn’t one), and some sad news for Useful Idiots everywhere:
Adam Schiff has been kicked off the House Intelligence Committee. Pour one out for the conspiracy theory GOAT.
