Totally unrelated to this episode, I think, but the confirmed oldest victim of a shark attack has been found and they died approx 3000 years ago. https://www.newsweek.com/3000-year-old-remains-believed-oldest-known-victim-shark-attack-1606092

I figured Katie would want to know this and add it to the list of crimes that sharks have committed.

Guys, I cannot understand why Americans are put in such crippling loan debt - in Europe you only pay back when you hit a certain income, and it gets wiped at 60 if not paid and has no impact on credit ratings etc. But in the States, such a rich country it cripples people. I cannot get my head around this and the medical system, is it correct if you a born with a precondition health insurance companies won't touch you? I admire so much American history but this stuff baffles me! check out my podcast on literary topics and thought-provoking cultural happenings! https://tumbleweedwords.substack.com/p/episode_002-conform

K this is unrelated but I just ended up watching your old episode with Adolph Reed, but more relevantly the series of penis stories which I think challenge your assertion that this or a recent episode (can’t keep track) was when Matt laughed the hardest. (This was amazing to watch)

Politics is boring and depressing right now but you guys have had such a fun time on the show together. I’ve thought lately that some of the joke timing and editing had been questionable but it reminded me of why I’ll support you both till the bitter end.

The footballer killed because he missed an own goal: Andres Escobar:

It would have to be said that when it comes to football rivalry of the unpleasant sort, it does not get any less pleasant than Old Firm (rangers/celtic) rivalry in Glasgow.

As a Scot I concur Celtic vs Rangers is a heated exchange at the best of times. Check out my podcast! https://tumbleweedwords.substack.com/p/episode_002-conform

Matt, thank you for all your outstanding journalism -- I have been your fan for decades.

There is another huge outrage going on -- a brazen and huge SLANDER of Aaron Mate and Grayzone regarding well-documented OPCW fabrications at direct request by US government.

They are just coming out of huge 2.5 year long fake and just dismissed lawsuit (with direct involvement of top pro-Israel lawyer).

TYT's Cenk and Anna have also been activated to slander and stop Aaron's work on US/Al Qaeda crimes in Syria -- the avalanche of slander and redirection by inventing "me-too" is unprecedented. TYT is also on record of slandering the publisher of a century -- Julian Assange.

Grayzone -- Ben Norton, Aaron Mate, and Max Blumenthal need maximum support -- including yours !!

BTW - It's only fan interference if the fan reaches out onto the field of play; if a player reaches into the stands they are essentially "fair game." MLB: When a spectator clearly prevents a fielder from catching a fly ball by reaching onto the field of play, the batter shall be ruled out. But no interference is called if a spectator comes in contact with a batted or thrown ball without reaching onto the field of play -- even if a fielder might have caught the ball had the spectator not been there.

On the Agenda of July 2 former Canada Supreme Court Justice Rosalie Silberberg Abella is interviewed. I suspect this may interest Katie as Abella was born in a displaced person's camp after the war after her parents were united after the war and after surviving the camps and her older brother was killed. It about being Jewish and a woman and a Supreme Court Justice and it is about Canada and our ethos as a liberal democracy and America's Athenian Democracy. It is a parable that explains so much of who we all are.

I was shocked by Abella's response when asked about Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Abella is married to one of our revered Canadian Jewish Historians and like all Supreme Court Justices is known for her wisdom and intellect not her politics . Abella is a giant and her response put Solomon to shame.
