For months, Democrats paraded the integrity of Joe Biden, claiming he would never stoop to Donald Trump’s amoral and nepotistic level of pardoning close friends and family. Biden himself even promised that he wouldn’t pardon his own son, a bold high road that many Dems referred to as the only Democratic choice.
Which made things reaaally awkward this week when Joe Biden pardoned his son for all crimes dating back to 2014.
CNN hosted many of these Democrats for follow-up interviews, including Levi Strauss-heir Rep. Dan Goldman, who was asked the very introspective question “how does it feel” that Biden lied? And that’s how it went on corporate media – a strange therapy session for dismayed Dems desperately trying to back-peddle their stance to save their names.
It’s a little sad.
Plus, Obama’s chief-of-staff Rahm Emanuel complains that the culprits of the Iraq War and the financial crisis were never held accountable (that was your job, Rahm), and Ted Cruz’s thespian take on FBI director nominee Kash Patel.
