A confused look at history to find out when Russia became communist

“Putin is communist and Donald Trump loves communism!” Wait. I thought the Russians were blackmailing Trump with pee tapes. But now they love each other? And when did Russia become communist again? Something’s not adding up… We must need a history lesson. Or maybe former Senator Claire McCaskill does.

This was one of (too) many rants from this week in corporate media, and we’re imploring you: do not watch them alone. From Fox News hosts claiming that Democrats want an uprising over the debt ceiling while Republicans just want you to open presents on Christmas morning, to heir (and congressman) Dan Goldman screaming that no one should criticize the FBI, the sickening dose of media madness is deadly if not taken with a heaping amount of mockery.

But one bright spot, buried under the hours of propaganda and greed blasted out on cable news, shone through: when a BBC reporter asked a South African leader if they would arrest Putin when he arrived in their country, the leader challenged the reporter with the past two decades of war crimes committed by the UK. It’s everything you wish you could say to shut up the propagandizing warmongers.
