I don't quite understand Mrs Buttu's NATO comment. Israel is not a NATO member. Spain, Italy and Turkey are members. If one of those countries' ships were to be attacked while it was protecting the flotilla; wouldn't the other NATO members be obliged to defend them?
Driving through Belfast, Maine, today, I was happy to see a very large banner saying FREE PALESTINE hanging from a bridge over Route 1. I'm hoping there will be more protests this week, but it is way too little.
