Hey Useful Idiots,

One of the things Katie and Aaron do best as Useful Idiots is point out the hypocrisy of our ruling warmongers. Just this week, as President Biden plans to send NATO-deemed-war-crime cluster munitions to Ukraine, we remember a time when Jen Psaki and the Biden administration complained that if Russia used cluster munitions, it would be (you guessed it) a war crime.

But though Biden might be the king of hypocrisy (see: student debt, the environment, kids in cages, the war), he isn’t always perfect. This week, he accidentally followed through on two promises. First, that he would reach across the aisle in the name of bipartisanship: And he did, nominating career-Republican death-squad-defending Gargamel-looking Elliot Abrams. The second was his private campaign promise to donors: “Nothing will fundamentally change.” And folks he was right.

And since the king makes mistakes, let’s open up our hypocrisy debate to everyone: senators, governors, former presidents, political pundits, corporate podcasts that have America in their title, let’s call them all out.
