Is Tim Walz anti-Semitic for not being Josh Shapiro?
CNN's top minds are working on it as we speak
The “journalists” over at CNN are NOT happy with Kamala Harris for her choice of running mate. You may have heard the spewing all week from Donald Trump, JD Vance, and Republicans that the Democrats are antisemitic for not choosing Pennsylvania Governor Shapiro, but you may be surprised to find out who actually invented that talking point…
“For some reason,” sang Jake Tapper in his nasally I-know-more-than-you way, “people keep attacking [Shapiro].”
“The attacks on Josh Shapiro,” echoed Dana Bash, “for his ‘stance on Israel’ [said with hard air quotes], it’s the same stance as the non-Jewish contenders. They’re picking at him and we should not let that go unsaid.”
“You have antisemitism that has been marbled into this party,” repeats Van Jones. “How much of what just happened is caving into some of these darker parts of the party?”
So is it true? Did Josh Shapiro get dismissed because of his religion? Are Democrats really antisemitic?
Or was it because Josh Shapiro compared student protesters to the Ku Klux Klan? Or that as governor he attempted to defund any public college that divested from Israel? Or that he once tried to enlist in the IDF? Could it be any of those things?
CNN says no. And you’re being antisemitic for asking that.
It’s the Thursday Throwdown – Katie and Aaron have your full dose of media madness, jam-packed with all the crazy Walz takes, Trump bigotry, and a TV opinion that somehow makes all of that look completely sane. Hint: it involves Walz, goblins, and the Antichrist.
