Thank you --- the struggle against inequality is common for all of us. DNC/CIA march toward fascism is accelerating. “The Russia-gate” scam of the century continues and is FAR MORE dangerous to American democracy than Russia will ever be... !!!

"The Russia-gate" is MORE than just a political ploy against Trump by the DNC that distracted the media from reporting the innumerable horrible things the incompetent lunatic Trump was actually doing for four years. Russia-gate hoax is a new term for (and the continuation of) "McCarthyism" which began immediately after WWII and is currently fueling our unilateral incredibly dangerous cold wars with both China and Russia.

Blaming Russia for everything that’s wrong in the US is absurd on its face, yet like a cancer this narrative has invaded every cell of the so-called liberal media and is ever-increasing since the Obama-Biden-Hillary full lying team is back in full power (note Kamala is Hillary's protégé). Politically it derailed both the Bernie Sanders and Tulsi Gabbard campaigns and gave Americans what was close to a “single choice menu” in the 2020 election.

The Iraq War clearly revealed that our top military & intelligence officials are engaged in a disinformation campaign aimed at American citizens in service of fabricating enemies to increase their funding and justify our "interventionist" wars. During the 2020 presidential campaign Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard and Dr. Jill Stein were accused by no less than Hillary Clinton as “Russian assets”. When Clinton asked if she meant this literally she replied, “absolutely”. Clinton’s remarks were so wildly absurd and vicious that her political standing and reputation should have been forever damaged, however this didn’t happen -- the massive War party was behind Hillary (and now Biden).

Given the fact that the US has surrounded Russia's southern borders with nuclear missiles, whatever feeling Russia (for 31+ years no longer Communist) has towards the US is more than understandable. A US led coup in Ukraine with immensely corrupt Biden (being effectively president of Ukraine) was an attempt to steal Crimea.... Everything Dwight Eisenhower warned the public in his famous farewell address has occurred and -- "progressive" neoliberals don't care. Arms industry is immensely profitable for ALL players involved.

Left still unexplored is the huge role of UK in concocting the Russia-gate hoax, including Scripal and Navalny "poisonings" and US+UK fabrications of OPCW reports on Syria -- fully exposed by top experts at OPCW. Note how, in panic, desperation and sensing the danger, DNC/CIA handlers activated e.g., TYT's despicable Cenk & Ana to go on maximal / unhinged attack on the Gray-zone high-integrity team and, especially, on its truly outstanding journalist Aaron Mate.

Russiagate undergirds most of the nonsense that is heaped on us these days. It demonstrated that if public buys that BS, they would buy anything... But - what can/should we do?

- Crime on Assange is ongoing. Only a pressure from streets will possibly change this. Clearly DNC oligarchs behind Biden are as dangerous and repulsive as GOP oligarchs -- the have same arms industry donors.

- The ruling kleptocracy has gone full frontal, so to speak. If in the past they had to do clandestine shit (Operation Mockingbird), today the media is stuffed with all sorts of despicable spooks.

- Now they openly lie at UN regarding the OPCW coverup. They lie about COVID and change their stories as they see fit. They collude with the big tech to usher an unheard of before levels of censorship – HiTech is now fully integrated with the enormous security state apparatus.

- People are docile enough or overworked enough or in a precarious enough situation to do much of anything. Any kind of protest is brutally suppressed.

- Now, the crimes of the empire abroad are being imported back home. The Patriot Act wasn't enough. They are pushing for more power and control here.

- The Congress critters are getting insanely rich trading on the insider information. The uniparty has full control.

I think things will get much worse due to the climate change. The permafrost is starting to thaw. The methane emissions are accelerating. There is no escaping that calamity...

This is extremely blackpilled and depressing. Unfortunately, it's more or less accurate.

Thank you - a question is what should we do about it? Does sub-stack and its readers, and few other remaining independent media have any role -- in/for actions?

To be blunt about it, I'm of the opinion that there really isn't much you can do.

Hence -- fascism - since early 50-ies.

Until nuclear annihilation, triggered either by accident or on purpose. Statistically this is the likely outcome.

Boris Petrov, thank you for this accurate summation of the state of the union today. It's not pretty.

I don't think Matt and Katie will venture into many of the issues you brought up. Few journalists put the pieces of the puzzle together like you have, which is a shame. The MSM and social media like facebook, youtube and twitter censor anything that doesn't go along with the official story of the truth. They allow no avenue to argue your case. They have effectively shut down freedom of speech, expression, debate and access to information. The government will not stand up for pubic opinion or desire. We have no voice in social, government, or foreign matters, or our own personal choices. What we have here is effectively a fascist state. Taxation without representation. The only way to communicate now is by tricking the system or finding platforms that allow open discussion. Billionaires buy up every opening, so truth tellers are resigned to hopping from site to site in order to be heard. We have our own underground railroad. Get on board.

One technical comment. It seems that often your guests mics are much lower in volume that the hosts. It’s difficult to hear Dr. Reed. Not the first time. Should be an easy fix. Love the show.

It'd be nice if the substack version went out first or at the same time. All too often for an interesting interview I'll watch the youtube version first and then it's harder to justify watching the extended later...

"Black Scholar Adolph Reed DESTROYS Robin DiAngelo, White Fragility & Nice Racism"

Please don't do this. This isn't wrastling. He destroyed it?

Did some of Prof Reed's comments get edited out? At 1:08:25 Matt mentioned his point about the same ideology as the defeated Confederate intellectuals.I don't recall Prof Reed talking about that. Maybe i missed it.

Howard Zinn's definition of racism : It's that special combination of second class status and derogatory thought, be that hatred, contempt, pity, or patronization. It's somewhere in "The People's History of the US. I turned it into a rubric to test different cultural items: monuments, statues, ariticles, stories, etc. BTW, love your weekly show.

After reading “Class Notes,” I reluctantly appreciated his thesis regarding 2 individuals that I hadn’t viewed them in this light. Jessie and Cornel. Having done my part in the 1988 Presidential campaign I found his analysis similar to how I viewed him prior to when I didn’t. Regarding CW how can you not like someone who when speaking of Obama: “We thought we were getting Coltrane and we got Kenny G.” Plus, growing up politically I never had any respect for anyone who was a Trot or was part of that orbit. Old red dogs can learn new tricks. Keep having these podcasts with Adolph.

NATE NEWTON. In April 2010, Newton, who once weighed as much as 411 pounds, underwent "vertical gastrectomy", a surgical operation, by Dr. David Kim, that removes up to 75 percent of a patient's stomach and staples the remainder. He has lost 175 pounds and as of November 2010, weighed 220 pounds—his lightest weight since high school.
