After several long and very dramatic pauses for effect, Rachel Maddow used her MSNBC show to once again call Donald Trump a Russian tool: it came out this week that Trump finally spoke over the phone with Putin and has begun peace talks to potentially end the war in Ukraine.

Republicans, Democrats and Rachel Maddow are NOT happy.

“If we really are now abandoning the free world,” she said, smiling a little too broadly “and lining up instead with the world’s dictatorships, just watch. The American people are going to have some feelings about that. Just watch.”

Does that mean that the leader of the next revolution, the next January 6, will be…Rachel Maddow?? We’re excited to see if anyone follows her rallying cry.

Also in this week’s Thursday Throwdown: career warmonger Mike Waltz is forced to pretend he wants peace so he can continue to suck up to Trump, Republicans are calling for executing Putin, a Democratic strategist admits he’s learned everything from the West Wing, and Hakeem Jeffries unveils his potent new nickname for Donald Trump.

It’s all this, and more, on this week’s Thursday Throwdown. Watch with Katie and Aaron so you can laugh instead of cry at it all. Thanks for supporting independent media, subscribe to watch the full episode here:
