It’s our new weekly episode: Thursday Throwdown, the place to get your exclusive dose of midweek media madness.
This week, we’re returning to Jake Tapper’s seldom-seen move to primetime, where even having President Biden for a sit-down interview could only land him a distant third place in ratings behind Fox News and MSNBC. It’s an interview with no follow-up questions, pressure on the president, or debate of any kind.
But Useful Idiots is fixing that. Katie and Aaron throw down to critique Biden’s fear-mongering propaganda on Russia and his hypocrisy on Saudi Arabia, and debate what, if anything, can be done to find a path to peace after the US and the rest of the west sabotaged all hopes of negotiation.
But hey, at least Jake put his tie back on.
