The immigration issue is complicated. I've seen videos of migrants pouring over the border in record numbers and former and current border patrol guards talk about their frustration in trying to keep out people who have criminal records and curtail the flood of drugs into this country. ; then, as if that weren't bad enough--human trafficking has become a lucrative practice, children being the primary targets. 300,000 children have gone missing and remain unaccounted for. One thing I can get behind is Tom Holman's promise to crack down on this horrible mess, and to do everything in his power to find these children. (And it appears, from testimony of a Guatemalan attorney -- on Redacted News--that Save the Children is a pipeline enabling this shameful practice. The attorney general of Guatemala is trying to mount an investigation and shut them down.) Bottom line---we need a secure border and we need to know who is coming into this country. Even uber progressive Dennis Kucinich has gone on record that we need to seal the border and have an orderly immigration process, and I don't think it's xenophobic to say so.
