Tucker Carlson’s Putin interview enrages MSNBC
Jen Psaki and her MSNBC colleagues can't believe anyone would want to interview the country's main adversary
Today, Tucker Carlson will be releasing his exclusive interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, much to the horror of MSNBC’s corporate journalists.
While we don’t know yet whether this interview will be substantive or subservient, the fact that it is controversial just to host a world leader for an interview is telling about the dark tunnel corporate media has shoved itself into.
Putin is, after all, the US’s number one adversary (“all roads lead to Putin,” as Nancy Pelosi claims). Wouldn’t it be beneficial to talk to him? Isn’t that the best way to reach a peace deal?
But for the war hawks in Congress and western media who clearly aren’t interested in peace, journalism remains taboo.
Meanwhile, Al Sharpton and the Dems are sounding especially Trumpian as they rant about undocumented immigrants bringing violence into the country, all in a sick attempt to whitewash Biden’s plan to shut down the border, and the Democrats’ Senate leader Chuck Schumer is happy to use this crisis to get more funding for Israel. Fire plus fire.
Plus, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s embarrassing defense for letting UNRWA (UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) collapse without funding.
It’s yet another brutal week of war-mongering media. Katie and Aaron are standing strong to fight it. It’s our Thursday bonus episode. Let us know in the comments what corporate media monologues, interviews, or anything else you want to see on the next Thursday Throwdown.
