US Govt Shutdown threatens workers' salaries – but not Ukraine's
60 Minutes uncovers a new secret about where taxpayer money really goes
“American taxpayers are financing more than just weapons in Ukraine,” reports 60 Minutes this week. “We were surprised to find that to keep [Ukraine’s economy] afloat, the US government is subsidizing small businesses.”
Which is a nice thing to do, except when your own government is heading toward a shutdown, workers across multiple industries are striking due to unlivable wages, and the US homelessness rate is the largest it’s ever been.
But still, hundreds of billions of dollars have been taken from taxpayers to fund a proxy war in which the US refuses diplomacy.
Plus, Jack Posobiec has a weird theory for why Senator Bob Menendez is facing calls to resign after a career of corruption, creepy propagandist Sarah Ashton-Cirillo gets tricked into telling the truth by Russian pranksters, and the Canadian finance minister (and granddaughter of a Nazi) refuses to apologize for her government’s Nazi celebration.
Oh, and Vivek Ramaswami wants to invade Mexico.
