Please remember Rachel Corrie who was killed (crushed) by an IDF bulldozer in Southern Gaza March 16 2003. The Bush Admin did nothing.

“Everywhere I look in this house, I’m staggered by memories. … I stay in the house to look at Pat’s [Tillman] books on the shelves and appreciate his special keepsakes displayed in the dining room hutch. As I’m looking at the mementos, I find a small newspaper clipping I’ve seen before. The article is about Rachel Corrie, the 23-year-old peace activist from Olympia, Washington, who was crushed to death by an Israeli bulldozer on March 16, 2003, trying to protect the home of a Palestinian doctor and his family.”

“I remember picking up the article from the same spot more than a year ago [2003] and asking Pat, “Who’s this?” “That’s my hero,” Pat said. “She was a stud; she had a lot of guts.” I read the article with tears in my eyes then; now, I quietly cry.”

Thank you! I referenced Rachel in a post last week. It’s amazing how few people remember her. If editors observed her heroism and informed American voters about why she put herself at risk, the occupation would have ended years ago. https://shahidbuttar.substack.com/p/a-dark-turn-in-the-middle-east

She’s one of my very few heroes in this world.

When justice arrives she will be remembered more widely.

Thanks for keeping her heroic memory alive.

Thanks, Mike, for your solid journalism on the Pat Tillman story in ESPN (back in 2006?). In my Feral Firefighter blog, wrote about how Corrie was his "hero." Also, I wrote about the bi-partisan whitewash of those responsible for the cover-up of his friendly fire death from 2006 -- 2014.

You have good taste in heroes! One hopes more writers might shine a light on moral courage on the rare occasion it emerges in public.

Mary Tillman (mother) wrote that Rachel Corrie was Pat Tillman's "Hero". For details, see my June 2010 "The Feral Firefighter" blog post "That's My Hero" -- Pat Tillman, Rachel Corrie, and Yoni Netanyahu.

You really are idiots. Amazing how you found such an appropriate title for your show. You all just go around in circles trying to please your progressive masters with no real facts or figures. And worse, you believe Jewish life is totally dispensable. No matter how many attacks on Israelis you cry for Hamas. Go live in Gaza or Ramallah and see how much you like those administrations.

2000 years ago when we suffered from Roman domination there were plenty of Jews trying to figure out how to re-attach their foreskins. Nothing new under the sun.

Journalists in the U.S. have played a crucial role in enabling Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine for the past 75 years. Failures of journalistic independence today are playing an equally crucial role enabling an unfolding genocide. https://shahidbuttar.substack.com/p/the-first-casualty-of-war-is-the

It’s stated over and over that Israel has the right to defend itself. And,it certainly does. When does defending turn to vengeance, retaliation and retribution? Especially, when it comes to destroying people who had nothing to do with the offense other than being somehow related, or at least perceived to be related. It’s so mafiaso. I killa you, I killa you wife, I killa you children, killa you dog....

No, we've done this dance with Hamas for 18 years. Time to dispose of the beast. Shame that Hamas will continue to hide behind civilians but this time we have to finish it.

The West, and especially the US, is in a desperate bid to remain diplomatically relevant in the Middle East, but Diplomacy is Dead in the West. Best hope for mediation in this conflict is Russia and China, which arranged the Iran-Saudi Arabia "rapprochement," which looms largely in the immediate background of the current situation. Apparently, MbS made Blinken wait hours before finally admitting him. US burnt bridges all over the Middle East, so I guess now we're turning to "Aircraft Carrier Diplomacy." Just another Show of Farce in place of dialogue.

Thanks for keeping the light shined on this, clearly one of the most effective jingoist propaganda efforts in the history of the US. So little learned from the war on terror despite it becoming the scandal of the century and forever tarnishing at least one presidential legacy.
