We found the WORST moment of the debate (and it’s not about pets)
Katie and Aaron watched the Harris/Trump debate so that you don't have to
During the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris this week, in between all the outrageous moments of back and forth over crowd size and fracking and who ate whose cat, you may have noticed the real ‘Isn’t that Terrible’ that permeated the affair.
“I believe in… ensuring we have the most lethal fighting force in the world.”
Quick – who said it, Democrat or Republican?
Is there really even a difference anymore, as Dick Cheney becomes the latest neocon to endorse Harris? Yes, the same Dick Cheney who lied to the American public in order to start a war that killed millions and destabilized the Middle East. What, really, makes Kamala Harris a Democrat anymore?
“The one thing I will assure you always,” she went on (and yes, you were correct if you chose Democrat), “I will always give Israel the ability to defend itself. I have my entire career and life supported Israel and the Israeli people.” That was the true theme of the night: who loves Israel harder.
And Harris even had to double down on her promise to keep sending weapons to Israel after Trump attacked her stance, claiming that “she hates Israel.” It was probably because of her unfortunate slip-up when Harris admitted a weird consolation to Palestine: “It is also true [that] far too many innocent Palestinians have been killed.” But… does that mean there’s… a right number of innocent Palestinians to kill?
Katie and Aaron watched the full, brutal debate and are throwing down on all the ridiculousness that came from it. We hope you didn’t force yourself to watch it live – it’s much less depressing to laugh at it all with Useful Idiots.
