I love you guys, but taking a sponsorship from an "AI" (FI: Fake Intelligence) company is a dealbreaker for me. LLM-based FI is one of the worst attacks upon humanity. Anyone using it, no matter how "private" it claims to be, is participating in the theft of all of the creative work and intellectual research that went into the data that fed these models, without attribution, credit, or compensation to the people whose work has been stolen. Boycotting is the only real power that we have in this capitalist society to end the horrors it brings. Please reconsider your sponsorships.
Completely agree. If a news outlet takes corporate money, they are corporate news. That immediately makes me suspicious because I can't imagine any capitalist sponsoring content that might be threatening to our current system of capitalism.
I thought I might be the only person to react, with surprise and horror, at the announcement of said sponsorship. I'm glad that I'm not alone. Notwithstanding the fact that I'm 77, don't own a cellphone, and value that 20th century concept of Privacy, I don't understand how naively most people embrace this new technology. Time will tell.
The amount of "uh"s from the interviewee makes this one a hard listen. Also, agreed with the others. Don't advertise AI and why are paid subscribers getting ads anyway...

I was wondering why there are ads at all on the paid side

This was an important interview, explaining a horrific, complex situation about which most are unaware.
I agree with the people who are asking you to reconsider your sponsorship of the AI company.
