(Fortunately they were on vacation & not home) Like Muduro, hate Muduro, no sane person wants the US getting involved in their country simply because they have no regard for anyone's life, and being the US's friend is no protection.
Without empathy and talking to the other, it is everyone against everyone and we are all dead. Without respect for the other peace is not possible.
We used to have the concept of the "Loyal Opposition" by which someone could express other views, and suggest other solutions to problems without being considered evil.
Not quite the thing to say to me. I have immense empathy for all oppressed living beings, most of whom are innocent. I am NOT a liberal and I DO NOT respect all people and their beliefs. I have been discussing the humanity of evil people for years, and I could see both points of view: the evil are human, the evil are not human.
We're no longer talking about disagreeing with sane, rational people as in your loyal opposition. (Loyal to what? Opposing what? Willing to do what?) As far as Venezuela goes, I know what the opposition is: People who called Chavez a monkey. People who are willing to see the US bomb their country. And I'll sum them up for you: THEY ARE WHITE COLONIALISTS. Now look at the demonstrations in Venezuela. What color are the demonstrators?
I feel it is important to point out that the courageous Jacob Frey has not been so courageous when it comes to the murder of tens of thousands of Palestinians - including children. Something we call a genocide, but he doesn't.
I have no problem believing Jonathan Ross, intoxicated with his “power” to bully anyone he wanted to, felt he could act out his Rambo fantasies with no consequences. And that may actually happen—has he been charged with a crime? Will he be? With media control being what it is and the world in uproar over Venezuela, Greenland and — next on the menu — Iran, by next week, we may never hear about this again.
WHY do we never discuss male violence? Why do we think violent men are socially acceptable? I am so sick of male cowards, and most men are stinking cowards / bullies.

I hear constantly how the Iranian government and the Venezuelan government have "mismanage the economy", but I never hear or read stories of what this means, of evidence, of analysis. Yet there are experts on Iran and Venezuela on the Left who could be trusted to develop useful accounts of corruption. So, how do we know the veracity of this mismanagement?
I imagine every time you hear about mismanagement you don't hear a thing about the crushing sanctions under which they are forced to operate, because fundamentally what you are hearing is gaslighting. Even if the mismanagement is real/factual, it's insane to ignore the effects of sanctions any time the topic comes up.
