Good news! The Hill was shamed into putting the farewell video back on YouTube.

The most common comment on here seems to be to put up the full interview as the same time as the free-to-view interview. It's getting pretty disappointing how little you seem to be willing to take this feedback in and do something about it. Would love to support your content going forward as it's good quality stuff but not willing to get annoyed every week in order to do so. Typically, by the time I remember to check back here for the second part of the interview I've lost track of the conversation and don't end up listening. I can just not-listen for free is the thing, so if that's what I'm doing I might as well not pay for it.

I live just north of the Vermont border and retired after a very interesting life.

Quebec is a secular humanist liberal democracy. Our Provincial and Federal governments are approved overwhelmingly by our citizens. Your cultural issues have not been issues for so long we don't remember they were ever issues. Yes we still have cultural issues but they are on things like how you define a nation state..

Ronny, I am autistic. I had all the words when I was a child. I am learning to write in my sixties and 70s. I speak in metaphors few understand. Too many words that mean different thing to me than they mean to the people who could navigate the "system" While I can't deal with clocks, phones and a Newspeak I don't understand; I am reminded of the words my psychologist said to me 45 years ago. "You are the sanest person I ever met." These words are of little comfort when everyone is stark raving mad.

Gail, the reporter, should have told Fat Fuck that it is our business where he sends his kids as he's the fucking governor and the public schools are under his purview and if he doesn't think that they are worth sending his kids to them then he must not be doin his job to act to make sure that a public resource is functioning properly. Tweedle Dee is a horrible person.

Why the delay for rest of video?

Hi, just subscribed and paid. Any way to simply download directly from this site? I don't listen on a phone. Just want a direct download to a little device, to listen to while at work. I don't do Spotify and all the rest, nor have any interest in doing so. A quick and easy download to mp3 was what I was expecting. Any way I can do that? Thank you

You questioned if seeds were stored in the U.S. It should have been evident the answer was yes but then you spun off to a "dumbest science" thing.

Small anecdote relating to the concept of competitors businesses "rising together" as was mentioned in this episode: I met a business owner from NJ a couple weeks ago and he had started the first known fast-casual burrito restaurant in NJ—he beat Chipotle to the market there. Apparently, a couple years after he had opened and was about to open his second restaurant, he heard that Chipotle was going to open a store near him. Obviously this worried him, but he noticed that a couple months after Chipotle had opened that he was busier than ever, and this was due to the fact that Chipotle had created more burrito eaters!

I come from the world of specialty coffee, and it is very widely accepted that Starbucks and other large chains have paved the way for higher quality coffee companies simply by making more coffee drinkers. Very interesting concept, but makes sense when you think about peoples preferences/tastes, and applied to media, if there are more readers, readers will want more to read.

What is the name of the NJ fast-casual burrito business?

He told me but honestly I don’t remember, if I heard it again I could confirm. I was just chatting with him at a park while our kids were playing so it was brief.

Was just curious. Sounded interesting. I know a few people who live in that neck of the woods.

Probably because journalists benefit from understanding the importance of editing.

I watched Jordan Peterson interview Rex Murphy for two hours and Peterson was destroyed in the first half hour by Canada's pre-eminent journalist and two hours didn't stop Peterson from proving he is neither a scientist nor a journalist he just plays one on the internet.

Peterson is brilliant but is too busy pretending to be an expert instead of listening to experts like Weinstein and Murphy. Weinstein is a scientist and Murphy is a journalist and Jordan is is knowledgeable but far from expert.

It was good to hear Murphy who is my age call Glenn Greenwald among the finest journalists of our time even as in Canada our liberals think Greenwald is too far left and Rex Murphy too far right.

Taibbi and Halper are treasures.

I am reminded of Twain's coverage of the Spanish American War and the public attitude of the man who may have been the best war correspondent of all time.

And my “why” was more rhetorical & now I see my early morning error. It did not drop last night.

Thanks for ur input however clip they dropped last night now a week old & already a premium member to Breakpoints within 20 min of announcing. Could see it was coming given increasingly frank & bold. Yes on Weinstein when he sticks to his field—great work on virus.

I’ve been immensely supportive of Useful Idiots & hoping it would come together techwise. Maybe it’s the funky moon past month just sure doesn’t work to get an email at 6:30 pm Sunday.
