Stone has single handedly has done more damage to US empire and propaganda schemes than just about any American - ranking up there with the exposure of Mai Lai, The Family Jewels of the CIA, and the Mighty Wurlitzer article from Carl Bernstein.

He is owed our deep gratitude and affection!

Yes plus his production stands as patent proof of a robust Russian free press

Stone, Taibbi, .......Maher? That’s not far from Einstein, Feynman, .... Bill Nye.

I only post this as a reaction to Matt Taibbi’s expression of disappointment after that last Maher show. Those of us who follow you on Substack, (thank the gods for which), understand where our society sequesters it’s integrity and intellectual power. Now if we can only find an alternative to YouTube, so that Oliver Stone, Abby Martin, and the rest of our censored citizens can find their proper expression.

Rumble.com is the alternative to YouTube of which you speak

I’ll get myself up to date. Thanks.

the Washington Post described it as a "far-right video sharing site" because they're willing to allow Russian state propaganda, despite the site having no explicit ideological affiliation aside from a general rejection of censorship.

It is really confusing when you call truth tellers useful idiots.

Rick S's avatar

But Stone is Putin’s useful idiot

Matt and Katie,

I'm trying to figure out why you have reposted this video when you did. The last few minutes of the interview serve to discredit not only everything Stone says in the interview, but also raise serious doubt about his entire career. Was this your point? If so, you succeeded.

I’m looking for help trying to find another alternative than a subscription to Showtime to watch Mr. Stone’s work. Can anyone please give me some guidance?

The interview was illumimating and courageous. Yet it was jolting at the end to hear Oliver Stone dismiss predictions that Russia would invade Ukraine. He also dismissively said that if Russia were to invade, it could take over the country in just a few days.

Yeah, I think what we're seeing in Ukraine is how much pumping a country full of $3+ billion worth (I think it must be about $4 billion now) of weapons will change Ukraine from, "Ukraine is going to lose" to "Ukraine is going to lose and a lot more Ukrainians are going to die and a lot more of Ukraine is going to be destroyed and JUST BY CHANCE a shitton of money is going to go to the US MIC."

I don't know why I keep reading that Ukraine on Fire has been removed from youTube.
