yep -- the workers realize that their cartage is expensive and resent having to accept "business as usual" type contract when on-call hours are long and inflation is sky-rocketing. Bad deal for everyone except the management and politicians.
You don't "charm" Unions. We Midwesterners of the Chicago/Racine persuasion grew up with the railroads, and knew someone that worked for big rail or transit. IMO, it's just another symptom of this complete power grab the Federal Government seems to be enjoying lately. Students get debt wiped and railroad workers are happy to erase any gains despite expanded responsibilities and work hours? Biden's bloom is faded and the pallid boot licker reveals himself...The American worker takes one on the butt ... Bad times ahead.
